This past weekend, developers and executives from close to twenty technology firms serving the registered investment adviser (RIA) industry gathered in Park City, Utah for a hackathon focused on building new integrations between systems. The event called Fuse 2015 is hosted annually by Orion Advisor Services which provides portfolio management and reporting software to advisory firms. The event concluded on Saturday with 17 firms showcasing their latest innovations to a panel of judges including Ryan Beach, J.D. Bruce, Joel Bruckenstein, Michael Kitecs, Billy Oliverio, Steve Sanduski, and Bill Winterberg.
During our presentation, we previewed the new integration between our MyRIACompliance® online RIA compliance software and Orion Advisor Services enabled by the Orion API. This new integration which will be released to the public shortly allows an RIA firm to more proactively and intelligently check firm registration and Form ADV filing information to ensure accuracy. No longer will an advisor need to manually calculate the number of clients located in each state or the firm’s total assets under management (AUM).
For our efforts, we were very fortunate to be named the co-winner of the “Best in Show” Award. Given the incredible level of talent and competition at the event, we are exceptionally proud of our development team. It was a truly remarkable effort.
