Michael J. Stanton

Michael J. Stanton is the Chief Executive Officer at COMPLY, a global market leader in regulatory compliance solutions.

Michael assumed the role of CEO in April 2024 and is responsible for all day-to-day operations. He joined COMPLY from FTV Capital where he served as an operating advisor, counseling a range of FinTech and B2B SaaS businesses. Michael previously served as Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer at Diligent Corporation, a leading GRC software-as-a-service (SaaS) company providing solutions across governance, risk, and compliance.

Before his role at Diligent, Michael served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance & Treasurer at Blackboard Inc., the world’s largest educational SaaS provider at the time – playing a pivotal role in that company’s IPO and subsequent sale to private equity.

Michael’s expertise in SaaS, financial strategy, and operational management has been recognized through media profiles and coverage in notable outlets such as the Associated Press, Bloomberg, CNBC, Forbes, and The Washington Post.

Michael is active in a range of corporate, non-profit and philanthropic organizations as an advisor as well as board member. Michael received his bachelor’s degree from the College of the Holy Cross.  He currently resides in Arlington, Virginia, with his wife and four children.
