Earlier this week, RIA in a Box was recognized for the New York Corporate Social Responsibility Award in Banking, Finance & Insurance presented by City & State Reports. This prestigious award honors executives and companies across the private, public, and government sectors for their work as outstanding corporate citizens. The award recipients were chosen following a public nomination process conducted on the City & State Report’s website.
According to City & State Reports, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an important focus today in business that ranges from philanthropy to environmentalism to the treatment of workers. The main goal is to encourage businesses to do well by doing good and to create a shared value for business and society. The New York City & State Report’s breakfast event this year was held at New York Law School and hosted by Keith Mestrich, President and CEO of Amalgamated Bank.
