Whether through the creation of our innovative software platform, adding talented individuals to our team or constant feedback from clients, we’ve always tried to improve and evolve the service we provide and the company we operate. Recently, we realized we wanted to update how we communicated this internally and externally by improving our company mission statement. Mission statements can range from cliche to the very essence of what a company aspires to be. For us, we wanted ours to be the latter.
As a result, last fall on our annual company gathering, #RIABTOGETHER, our entire team took part in an exercise to refresh our company mission statement so it could better represent our overall company purpose. Each team member was instructed to take a few moments and reflect on the work they do on a daily basis, and how our work impacts the industry we serve. After submitting their individual responses, our team members broke out into small groups where they were able to share their responses with each other.
After our team shared their individual responses in small groups, it was easy to see everyone was on the same page with regards to who we are and what we do at RIA in a Box. The two overall themes were:
- We strive to put the client first in all that they do. Our goal is to make the day to day compliance responsibilities far less daunting than they seem to be.
- We felt like we best accomplish this by constantly evolving our MyRIACompliance® software platform and pairing it with our team of experts.
We synthesized all of the individual and group responses, sprinkled a little RIA in a Box magic and distilled our new statement to the following:
RIA in a Box provides the leading compliance solution for investment advisers. We put the client first by delivering innovative software and expert advice.
In the coming few weeks, we’ll be letting you know what this means on a daily basis. How it’s impacting our work, changes to our public presence and how much we hope this translates to continuing to be the most innovative platform and service in the industry.
